The Dakota Connection Casino first opened back in 1995. Its primary goal was – and still remains – to stimulate economic development on the nearby Lake Traverse Reservation and create meaningful avenues to bring about self-sufficiency for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate people. Along with the Dakota Magic Casino Resort and the Dakota Sioux Casino and Hotel, it is one of three gaming complexes owned by the group.
After undergoing considerable remodelling not too long ago, it reopened and unveiled its impressive new facilities, which includes a games floor packed with almost 200 slot machines. Its class II license means there aren’t any live table games available here, but visitors can enjoy a 24 hour service at the weekends and take part in daily bingo events.
